Job Post: Auto Electrician Position (C3)

The ideal applicant will meet the following requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12/N2 Certificate

  • Valid Trade Certificate

  • Computer literacy

  • Driver’s License Code E/EB (08)

Requirements:

At least 5 years’ experience years of experience on EME machines: (CAT, Bell, Volvo, Komatsu & Joy), LDV fleets, Bus fleets, diesel pumps, Lighting Plants and Tractors.

Skills and abilities:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Analytical thinking

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Problem solving skills

  • Fault finding

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deal with electrical breakdowns: Fault finding, Identify problems & Fix problems

  • Continuous improvement

  • Execute electrical planned maintenance

  • Service Machines and install new electrical equipment

  • Mitigate repetitive electrical problems

  • Supervise aides/assistants and ensure subordinates are competent & motivated

  • Execute daily risk assessments and ensure subordinates and self-utilize correct PPE at all times

  • Implement safe working procedures and carry out daily electrical inspections

  • Utilize daily checklist and ensure logbooks are up to date at all times

  • Install and maintain good housekeeping practices
