Job Post: Maintenance Planner
Situated in the Piet Retief/Panbult area, ± 55 km from Piet Retief, Kangra Coal (Pty) Ltd. is a modern, mechanized mine.
The ideal applicant will meet the following requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Grade 12 / N2 certificate
Valid trade certificate
Advance Microsoft office training word, excel, PowerPoint, MS projects
Computer literacy
A planning certificate will be advantageous
Experience:
At least five years post trade experience
At least five years’ experience as a Maintenance Planner
Skills & Responsibilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure, analytical thinking, self-motivated
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Will be liaison principal contact and liaison person between maintenance, operations, and other support departments.
Manage the CMM system
Maintenance scheduling, generate requests for new functional objects, revise and creating the new task list
Revise and creating of new separate PM actions, review credibility of data in the CMM system
Generate planned job cards, asset care plans, capture feedback on the system & generate reports
Manage a filling system
Create/design a filing system, ensure the quality of the filing execution & ensure the safekeeping of documentation
Relationship expectations
Operations - reduce the cost of maintenance while improving service
Minimize downtime and interruptions to operate, provide orderly procedures for processing work
Provide expert maintenance advice to operations through maintenance planning
Maintenance
Permit advanced determination of labour resources needed and time required to complete each job
Provide an overall plan for the supervisor on which to base his /her pre-thinking and pre-planning for day-to-day work
Provide a central source of information concerning maintenance work, equipment, and equipment repair
Management
Permit accurate forecasting of labour and material needs
Permit immediate recognition of labour shortages and excesses
Provide factual data required for evaluation of performance and corrective action as needed
Provide full productive work for each tradesperson (capacity planning) and thus increasing productivity through the elimination of delays
Permit more accurate collection and analysis of cost and assure an economic level of maintenance with less interruption of production
