Job Post: Miner

The ideal applicant will meet the following requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 (Standard 10)

  • Blasting Certificate

  • Gas testing and flameproof certificates

  • Driver’s License code B/EB

  • Competent A Certificate

  • Strata control 

Skills and abilities:

  • Be able to read and write

  • Good leadership skills

  • At least 3 years coal mining experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with appointments including regulations and Mine Health and Safety Act

  • Early examination and safe declaration

  • Production

  • Labour control

  • Planning, leading, organise and control

  • Participate in mine safety programme
