Uthingo wins the day as Balgarthen's new name

Weighbridge operator, Thandi Goodness Nkosi, has won the prize for renaming #Kangra’s Balgarthen Shaft. Going forward, Balgarthen will now be called UThingo Shaft, meaning rainbow in isiZulu after her suggested name was voted into the top 5 and selected by a panel. This name symbolizes the cultural diversity at Kangra and its surrounding communities.
