Job Post: Procurement Officer

Kangra is looking for a Procurement Officer to be based in Piet Retief.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12

  • Diploma in Procurement/Supply Chain

  • Computer literate

  • Valid driver’s license

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in the mining industry (compulsory)

  • Good communication and negotiation skills

  • Knowledge and technical understanding of mining processes

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Selection of suppliers and contractors

  • Drafting of service level agreements

  • Determining procurement needs of the site

  • Timeously ordering of stock and material

  • Control and monitoring of expenses against budget

  • Tracking of orders and following up on delivery times

  • Reconciliation of order discrepancies with suppliers

  • Update of the asset register
