Mhlongo Family Relocation

Following the company’s implementation of new processes, a decision was taken to upgrade the homesteads of the Mhlongo families who resided in the area. After a long tender process and delays resulting from changes in the housing plans, the building process began in September 2018. The process also grew into a skills development programme for the local builders who were part of the project.

The initial project was completed on 20 December 2018 and the families moved into their new homes which were equipped with boreholes, solar systems and JoJo tanks. In line with this project, Kangra was also able to rebuild the homes for the Ndlovu family in November 2018.
